香港中文大學中國文化研究所「古文獻資料庫研究計劃」分別於一九九一年及一九九五年完成先秦兩漢以及魏晉南北朝全部傳世文獻電腦化資料庫，臂助漢學研究工作者掌握原始文獻資料，進行各項研究工作。清人陳士珂研究《韓詩外傳》，發現《韓詩外傳》二百九十章中，有七成內容又見於其他相近年代之典籍。陳士珂蒐集《韓詩外傳》相關互見文獻，編成《韓詩外傳疏證》，俾便學者參考。及後，陳士珂又編成《孔子家語疏證》，兩書流傳甚廣。可見互見文獻之蒐集、研究，極為學者所重視。

　　中國語言及文學系何志華教授、樊善標教授及中國文化研究所朱國藩博士於九九年提出「先秦兩漢互見文獻研究計劃」，利用「漢達古文獻資料庫」，全面蒐集先秦兩漢所有典籍之互見文獻，盼能借助電腦科技，全面歸納、分析先秦兩漢傳世文獻相互傳承之情況。上述研究計劃於二零零二年大致完成，共蒐集互見文獻超過七萬句，現正據此編纂《先秦兩漢互見文獻叢書》，收錄《古列女傳》、《荀子》、《賈誼新書》、《大戴禮記》等多種文獻之相關互文，俾便學者掌握此等文獻相互因襲之情況；並能利用蒐集所得之互見文獻資料，探究古代文獻之傳承關係，從而比對、校勘今本，考其異同，校訂訛誤。

　　另外，互聯網的應用日漸普及，儼然已成為書刊、光碟、磁碟以外的嶄新出版媒體。本計劃將借助「漢達文庫」專門網站，將研究成果上網，並重新編寫網上檢索程式，以便學者於網上進行閱讀、檢索古代典籍互見文例。

A Complete Study of the Parallel Passages Found in Pre-Han and Han Traditional Texts

　　The databases of extant Pre-Han & Han and the Six dynasties traditional Chinese texts were completed by the Institute of Chinese Studies in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991 and 1995 respectively which greatly assist scholars in doing various Sinological studies. The collection and study of parallel passages found in ancient Chinese texts began in 1818. Chen Shi-ko, a famous scholar in the Qing dynasty, discovered that for the total 290 chapters in the Hanshiwaizhuan, more than 70% of them also appeared in the other works. He therefore decided to compile a collection of the parallel passages found in Hanshiwaizhuan entitled Hanshiwaizhuan Shuzheng. Chen Shi-ko continued to compile another collection of parallel passages, the KungziJiayu Shuzheng, which was published in the same year. Thus it is evident that the collection of parallel passages is worthy of particular attention.

Prof. Ho Che Wah and Prof. Fan Sin Biu in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature together with Dr. Chu Kwok Fan in the Institute of Chinese Studies in the Chinese University of Hong Kong started the project of “A Complete Study of the Parallel Passages Found in Pre-Han and Han Traditional Texts” in 1999 making use of the CHANT Database. With the help of computer technology, the project aimed at a comprehensive study of all parallel passages found in Pre-Han and Han texts. It was virtually completed in 2002 with more than 70000 parallel passages collected. Parallel passages found in Gu Lienu zhuan, Xunzi, Jiayi Xinshu and Da Dai Liji will be published soon. It would be very helpful for understanding how ancient texts were transmitted and their mutual imitation as well as for the emendation of extant versions.

Since the Internet is getting very popular in recent years, the project is hosted under the CHANT website for wider and easier access. All of the collected parallel passages can be found via the website thus giving anyone interested in studying parallel passages in ancient texts a handy reference.
